As I drove through the Forest of Bowland I stopped the car for a cup of coffee from the flask and drew this isolated farm, bracing myself against the gale. Back in the studio I painted it and tried to get into the picture the wind and the sheeting rain as I imagined it would be. This low key watercolour was painted using just two colours.
