I was fascinated by the chimneys in this part of Beaugency, as well as the way that the diamond slates were laid on two of the roofs and sketched it with a softish pencil which became smudged before I was able to fix the graphite. As you see, it was a loose sketch that I think gives the atmosphere of the place.
